| Are you skipping Manila on your way to Boracay? |
| Why not spend a night? |
| |
| A quick way to see Manila is via the Rail Transit System. |
| We have illustrated below the stations/stops of two separate lines: |
| the MRT line 3 |
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manila_Metro_Rail_Transit_System |
| and the LRT Line 1. |

| Purchase different tickets for the two lines. |
| EDSA/Taft Avenue Station is the junction between the two lines. |
| there is no direct link; exit one line to go to the other. |
| |
| tip: to avoid long lines of passengers buying tickets, |
| you might want to purchase a P100 stored value ticket. |
| Avoid rush hours (5pm to 8pm). |
| |
| We have selected four stops: |
| |
| |
Pedro Gil (LRT 1): |
Three minutes walk from the station is the shopping mall Robinson's Place. |
| |
| |
Ayala (MRT 3): |
Two blocks from the station is a hotel, Dusit Thani, |
| |
and the Greenbelt and Glorietta Malls. |
| |
| |
Shaw Boulevard (MRT 3): |
Connecting to the station is the shopping mall Shangri-la Plaza. |
| |
| |
North Avenue (MRT 3): |
Connecting to the station is the shopping mall Trinoma. |
| |
| Some of the stations are hubs; trains are full at these stops, especially during rush hours. |
| These stations are those in the middle of the route (Shaw Boulevard). |
| |
| But those in the beginning and the end of the lines are less crowded, |
| (North Avenue, Ayala and Pedro Gil). |
| |
| For accommodations, we recommend the Dusit Thani Hotel, which is a short walk to the Ayala Station. |
