The more convenient route is via Cebu Pacific, which arrives in Manila at 400am, in time for connecting flights to Caticlan Airport (Boracay).
There is no need to stay overnight in Manila.
If you are exploring Manila, any airline will do.
A GUIDE TO AIRPORT TERMINALS IN MANILA:
Terminal 1                    the first international airport in Manila, and serves all international flights except Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific
Terminal 2                    serves Philippine Airlines international and domestic flights EXCEPT Philippine Airlines Subsidiaries Air Philippines and PAL Express
Terminal 3                    serves Cebu Pacific international and domestic flights; and flights of Air Philippines and PAL Express
Domestic Terminal       serves flights of Seair and Zestair
Please note that there is no shuttle between terminals. One has to take a car to transfer.
Only Philippine Airlines has transfer between Terminal 2 and 3, and one can avail only if flying on the same airline (Philippine Airlines to PAL Express/Air Philippines).
Please inform the ground personnel about your connecting domestic flight so that you will be assisted to the shuttle area.
Cebu Pacific Domestic and International flights are in the same terminal 3. There is no need to transfer from one terminal to another.

LUGGAGE WEIGHT LIMIT:
Please note that most international airlines have 15 to 20 kilos maximum limit,
but planes arriving in Caticlan are smaller, and have 10 kilos maximum limit.
